Shepherd's Delight - V2
This is an impression of a hypothetical Earth-type planet in the vicinity of Barnard 33, also known as. the Horsehead Nebula because, well, it looks like a horse's head. At least that's what people claim. So what you're seeing here is a cloud of gas emitting red light, with a dark, absorbent cloud, in the shape of a Horsehead, superimposed on top of it. Nature speaks in strange ways. The title comes from the expression 'Red sky at night, Shepherd's Delight'. This is a digitally modified version of a painting I did in the 1990s.
